The Fundamentals of Space Planning explores how people use and function within an interior space. I learned and understood the factors of human dimensions and how those dimensions help design an interior space. The class dives into a practical understanding of how residential and commercial furniture will “fit” into a space and how local and national building codes dictate how design is made. I learned about how people with disabilities function in a space and what the best way to design for this population is. The entire space planning process is explored and understood by completing residential and commercial projects.
